Happy Easter to everyone. We started our day off bright and early at 6 am for an Easter sunrise service with hot, fresh coffee, great message and scenery. To top if off we took a wonderful walk along the ocean in the bright crisp cold air and came home to enjoy a wonderful Easter meal.

Well, we were excited but had a busy week and made these late Friday night. We had a proper piping bag but the hole was too big for the tip we wanted to use. We didn't have the right tip but that was okay as we wanted ours to look different. So the idea was to make our own piping bags (big mistake:). I had one bag made out of a ziplog bag with a smaller tip and my sister made a bag out of parchment paper for her tip. We knew we had to work together as we were attempting to do a log and 6 cupcakes. We chose our proprietary Lavender essential oil blend.
So, we get the soap in our bags and shortly after starting my bag burst and got a big hole in it. I had lots of cups handy so I stopped and squeezed the soap out into a cup. Then my sister's bag broke but she managed to fix it somehow. We worked quickly and managed to get 'er done:) The colour I chose was to be purple but we got a lovely pink instead.
Here is the process:
Two Blooms Design Studio - whipped soap cupcakes and soap log. Below are the soap cupcakes photos taken the next day. |
Last but not least here are the cut bars. |
We were happy with the way these swirls turned out and so thankful we work well together:) Would we do this again? Of course we would and we went out yesterday and got a new piping bag and another tip so we can experiment soon. These soaps should be ready by Mother's Day. If you would like to preorder email us. |

They turned out great and I LOVE the log! I thought about using a ziplock too, but had heard that they tend to bust open-scary! Way to work together!
Oh wow!! You girls really did great, despite the burst open bags!! Glad to hear you are going to do it again, too - your soaps turned out so lovely!
Happy Easter!!
It's definitely a success! What a pain though!
Carol,
Thanks, we originally were going to do a log only but I wanted to try the cupcakes as well.
Amy,
Thanks, we weren't so sure how it was all going to turn out during the process but glad it did in the end.
Holly,
Thanks, it was a bit frustration when soap was squirting out of the bag. Now I know what to expect next time.
