My New Ribbons, Coffee, Lilac & Vintage Soap

Hello,

It feels like ages since I last blogged and things have been a tad stressful around here. To make up for lost time I'll post a few soapies. I'm trying the new blogger format and not sure if I like it(think I prefer the old layout).

For those of you following from Jenora Soaps blogspot my website is listed under Splurge Sisters (our old name).  I think I figured out the problem, it's the right URL but looks like it was titled Splurge Sisters instead of Two Blooms.

Anywho last year was our first year entering the Saanich Fair for our gluten free baking and this year they had more categories. Last year we won one ribbon and this year we won five for our gluten free goodies.

I had a little fun hand modelling as I painted my nails and bought a new ring so I chose to showcase my White Tea & Ginger soap for this photo.

White Tea & Ginger Vegan Artisan Soap

First soap is Coffee Caramel with added coconut milk. This one is palm free and smells amazing.

Looking divine in the mold Coffee Caramel Soap

This scent has buttery and cinnamon top notes, a heart of caramel coffee and a well rounded nutty, vanilla base.

Palm Free & Vegan Coffee Caramel Artisan Soap
This soap has a nice dollop of shea butter along with it's glorious scent.

Next up is a Lilac glycerin soap. I've added goat's milk for it's lovely moisturizing properties. This is a fresh floral bouquet with top notes of lilac, ylang ylang and lily of the valley. The heart of the fragrance is a melody of jasmine, rose and lavender with a gentle lingering musk base.

Lilac Goat's Milk Glycerin Artisan Soap
The last soap is an old fashion method using lard. The majority of my soaps are vegan but I do include some made with goat's milk and a new lard based edition due to a special customer request.

Vintage Palm Free Artisan Soap
The scent is a mix of peony and water lily, white freesia and orange flower and it's a light delicate scent that I love.

Another shot of Vintage Palm Free Artisan Soap (this basket is from Africa)
After trying this one in the shower I can say that is has lovely luscious bubbles.  If you are interested in any of these soaps you can check out Coffee Caramel and Lilac soap here.  Vintage soap can be found here. I have changed the shipping option on my website to a flat fee of $15.00 and will refund you if there is a difference when I go to ship or advise you of a higher shipping cost. Until Paypal allows Canadians the option to have a shipping calculator based on destination this seems like the easiest solution.

Hope you all have a great week-end.

Michelle, Your soaps and photos are looking wonderful... I apologise for not responding to your emails yet... there are 2 outstanding. My full-time night market finishes tonight, then I want to get all caught up on so many things. I have also had commenting issues on my new computer... You sound great, busy, which makes me happy. xoxoo Jen

Looks great... love the nails! Congrats on the prizes, that's pretty cool. And love the pattern in the soap you're modelling too.

The others sound yum .. coffee and caramel? My favouite latte of all time! And the lard soap, the fragrance you've used sounds just delicious! You've definitely been busy!

Jen,

Thanks :) Oh I didn't realize the market was still going. I find doing 2 markets weekly and one once a month quite demanding so can't imagine every night.

We'll catch up when you have a chance.

Celine,

Thanks,I was pretty jazzed about the ribbons as I was going for a first or best in show. I love the lard soap even though I usually sell mostly vegan soaps, it makes a lovely soap.

Hi Michelle. =)
All the soaps look wonderful!
Especially I love the tree stamp!
"Vintage Palm Tree" looks very natural & beautiful.
I think that's my favorite. ;)
