Buzz Off & Patchouli Soap

Hello Soapie Fans,

I have two new beauties to show you. My mom thinks I've gone a little loopey (that isn't news to me) because I get so excited about soap.  Let's see I dream about it, get like a little girl when describing my latest batch, sit and contemplate new designs, custom blend scent combo's (ever since I took my perfume course I have a renewed addiction to blending EO's). When I make a new batch of soap I sometimes get up in the middle of the night to check on it then bound out of bed the next morning to check on it.  I love all aspects of the products I make (sprays, perfumes, lotions, butters, soy candles) but soap is so much more design orientated.

Two years ago I made a bug soap that went over well but then it sold out and I forgot all about it.  Then  I saw Jenora's post about bug soap awhile back and decided to make another batch.

Here is the Bug soap freshly poured:

I had fun colouring this one and playing with the swirly pattern.

I added Neem Oil known as an organic insecticide. It relieves dry skin, soothes itchiness, redness and irritation and improves general skin health and immunity, combating bacterial infections.  To add a bit of luxury I added Cocoa butter known to soften and moisturize the skin.

You can get a bar of Buzz Off soap here.

I've had so many requests for Patchouli soap that I knew I had to whip up a batch and fast.  I made a glycerin Patchouli bar using Patchouli essential oil.

While I making this bar I had a different design idea but the soap had a mind of it's own.

Have a great week-end.

My swirls look like mud drizled on tar compared to yours but never fear ! You experts just go ahead and lead the way. One day I'll catch up. You know, in the year 2525...

Donna,

Your comment made me laugh and I'm sure your soaps aren't that bad. We all started at the beginning and kept practicing. You will get there. I still struggle with the cool in the pot swirls that everyone else gets. No matter what directions I follow I still can't get it the way I want.
